Megan was appointed as Pettis County Clerk/Election Authority and conducts business from the Pettis County Courthouse Annex. She is responsible for keeping all the counties historical records, prepares the County Financial Statement, works with the political subdivisions to establish their current tax levies, and serves as Secretary for the Board of Equalization. Megan’s duties also include elections, candidate certification and filings, running polling locations and training election workers. Megan and her staff must maintain the voter registration data base including address changes, cancellations, deceased and convicted felons.
Megan is an active board member for the Boys and Girls Club . She has implemented voter registration drives at every high school in Pettis County. Megan helps out with Meals-On-Wheels deliveries.
Megan's family also co-owns Heckart Funeral Home and owns PAWS Crematory, Cemetary. She has been married to her husband Jeffrey since 2009 and they have 2 boys together, Jonah and Jude along with their fur babies Olive and Opal.
